Medical Everyday was launched by The Surgmed™ Group of Companies in 2020 in response to the Covid-19 pandemic and increasing demand in Canada for high-quality PPE. The Surgmed™ Group began its operations in 1992 as a single distribution company known as Advanced Surgi-Pharm Inc. (ASP).  The company quickly became known as an industry leader and specialty distributor of value-added surgical products, targeting the women's health, labor and delivery, neurological, general surgery, and central sterile departments in the Canadian hospital market.

Since 1992, The Surgmed™ Group has made several strategic acquisitions and expanded into direct manufacturing of medical devices.
